b) Did she choose to drive in the lane illegally on that specific day, the day she first thought of the excuse?
c) Did she think of the excuse as the copper approached her car?
d) Did she simply believe that the law as written included her and her unborn child?
My guess is it is (a) and she was basically hoping she would get picked up someday in order to make a big deal about it. Of course, I actually wonder if the laws should be written to only allow cars with two or more licensed drivers on board to use the carpool lane. After all, is it really a carpool when the car houses a driver and a toddler?
