Tonight I offloaded the all-weather tires from the Jetta and mounted the Blizzaks in their place. After banging my head on a 14″ tire wrench (not literally), I hit NAPA and picked up a 20″ wrench. Much better. Based on my experiences getting this wrench, I will now always choose NAPA before Autozone. I’m sure they care.
This reminded me that Luke and I polished the old girl again this fall and I never did post any pictures. So here you go.
The cast of characters. First, the Jetta:
Luke’s Audi (also known as “The Winter Car”):
A couple photos of the vehicles in front of Federated Insurance’s original building. The building is probably 85 years old or older. Not exactly sure how old it is:
Reverse angle. The building across the street is the main Josten’s office in Owatonna:
And the artsy photo. TDI, baby:

I’m hard.
You’d be harder if you knew how much Luke’s car cost when it debuted. I was kind of blown away when I found out.
I forgot we took these photos. Noice!
If your Jetta had a sex hole, I’d be driving down there this afternoon.
The last picture does make the Jetta look like it is “presenting,” doesn’t it?

[...] Thought this was interesting. I just priced the Jetta at edmunds.com. It’s private sale value is $500 more than what we paid for it. That’s rated at “clean” and with the miles we’ve put on it. If I were selling, I would hope I could get more given the additional wheels/tires and the semiannual polishing. [...]
