Being an admitted band nerd, I long held a grudge for those who made music by simply singing in a large group. What kind of skill is there in that?
While I still have my preferences, I’ve learned to appreciate good stuff for what it is. Though I only really know a few choral pieces, one of my favorites is Eric Whitacre’s “Sleep.” Here is a beautiful performance of the piece by Counterpoints show choir out of Indianapolis.
