The EU ignores DDT science while Africans die. At the very least, the EU appears unable to make use of the most basic strictures of relative thought.
The article even references America’s successful use of the chemical (emphasis mine):
DDT, to give that chemical its more familiar name, works miracles against diseases that are spread by insects. During the Second World War, vast quantities of the stuff were dusted over troops and concentration-camp survivors to kill the body lice that spread typhus. Later, DDT was used widely in Latin America to beat back dengue and yellow fever. But the chemical’s noblest calling is to combat malarial mosquitoes. In the early 20th century, Dunklin County, Missouri, had a higher rate of malarial mortality than Freetown, Sierra Leone. Between 1947 and 1949, DDT was sprayed on the internal walls of nearly 5 million American houses, and at the end of that process malaria had ceased to pose a significant threat in the United States.Related posts:

The EU is equally craven when it comes to agriculture technology that could save countless lives.
They don’t even have bald eagles in Europe, so what’s the big deal?
Barry, did you see that you are now quoted at the top of Fraters Libertas? You’ve hit the big time! Although you are only quoted as a “Greet Machine commenter.” Oh well, I guess you gotta crawl before you can walk…
I will now swallow a crushed beer can.
Next thing you know, B will get published in Simmons’ mailbag.
Years later I’ll be interviewed on a VH1 special identified only as “childhood friend.”
God knows I’ve tried.
The malaria is a group illnesses. Sharp attacks of a fever and an anemia are characteristic. Activators of a malaria are carriers - blood-sicking a mosquito. WBR LeoP
