Neil Gaiman said he couldn’t say it better than when he said it in 2001. So I’m just going to quote him quoting himself 4 years ago:

No writing since Jan 1? You’re already off to a bad start. Hopefully, you have compensated by building something or singing a song. :-)
I don’t find this blog to be all that creative. I’ve been working pretty hard on my media server and my laptop, so I’m compensating plenty. (I actually have been blogging - on my notes blog designed to be a searchable database of notes from all of my installs, tech configurations, household projects etc. If you really must see, for proof, it’s here.)
