Watched the Minnesota Twins Vintage World Series DVD. Well, I’ve just watched the 1991 series so far.
Hard to believe it is possible, but the series was even closer than I remember it being. Wow. I did not remember how close the Twins were to winning in four games. I did not remember exactly how many fundamental mistakes Atlanta (and particularly Lonnie Smith) made in the series. I did not remember Brian Harper’s strange accent.
The interesting thing about this presentation was that nothing was mentioned at all about Jack Morris trotting out to pitch the 10th inning. Nothing at all. Really surprising.
I definitely like the DVD. I still wish I could just purchase the longform version of the entire series, however.
Oh, and Ernie Harwell narrated, which was nice.
