I am in the process of learning to use Flickr. What an interesting, almost too interesting, community. I’ll probably just put some more unique pictures on it and perhaps post them to the blog occasionally (maybe using this WordPress plug-in?), including using a Flickr badge. Heck, I can even resize and upload quickly right through Picasa. I’ll still use Shutterfly for mass sharing - meaning sharing only my family can love - and online ordering. And if I want to provide photos with actual resolution, say vacation pictures, on the blog, I’ll continue to do so in the manner I have in the past.

While working on my account, I ran across this site that allows you to search for the pictures of the most “interestingness” on a given day. Just search on today’s date. It’s amazing how many simply awesome pictures have been put online in just a few hours. If you want to learn more about Flickr and get some tips to start you off, check out this post. In the end I doubt I’ll do too much with Flickr, but it certainly has the potential to be a fun time-waster.

(And in case you’re wondering, of course the Xbox, with XBMC, can access my Flickr account. Well, duh!)

I mean, there’s all kinds of fun stuff out there for interacting with Flickr:
