Ubuntu Installed

Ubuntu is part of my now dual-bootable laptop. I hardly remember the joys of being able to execute actual useful commands from a command line. The problem? I’m currently clueless on doing things like determining which hardware was adequately detected (my wireless card has a power light) and if not what drivers are necessary (I don’t have a wireless connection and the monitor doesn’t look very sharp).

Anyway, I need to avoid over-tweaking because this laptop doesn’t really need to have all that (and a bag of chips). On the other hand, I should image the system so I can easily recover if I do play around with some tweaking to prepare for building my Network Access Server.

(And yes, I posted this from…Ubuntu.)
