Popup a New Gmail Compose Window

With a goal to adhere to the GTD method, along with a mind to reduce my email checking to twice a day, I realized I needed a way to send an email without actually visiting Gmail. See, when I visit Gmail I see there are 15 unread messages and then I proceed to skim them. Skimming eventually leads to reading a couple “important” messages. Reading eventually leads to browsing the web. And browsing the web eventually leads to serious rat holing.

I was thinking I’d need to create my own bookmarklet to do such a thing. Of course, since we live in the world of the Internet, this has already been done. Just read the “update” section of this post to find a bookmarklet that will allow you to compose a message in a popup window without nary a glance at your Gmail inbox.
